Sustainability Governance

We believe a company needs a strong governance structure to drive performance. 澳博体育app下载’s Board sets the “tone at the top” and helps create an environment of integrity and accountability that extends throughout the Company. Sustainability considerations are integrated into our business strategy, and we track progress against our sustainability goals and incorporate learnings.

澳博体育app下载’s Corporate Governance Guidelines provide that as part of our commitment to sustainability, the Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing sustainability matters relevant to the Company’s business, including environmental, social and governance matters.

澳博体育app下载’s Board oversees the development and implementation of our sustainability strategy and goals, including our approach to climate change and climate adaptation planning, human capital management, DE&I, regulatory compliance, health and safety, cyber and information security, and community giving. Our Chairman and CEO is responsible for the overall performance of the Company, supported by an executive team—all with specific responsibilities on key sustainability topics. They provide regular updates to the Board on sustainability matters. Across the Company, working groups and cross-functional teams are responsible for managing initiatives and driving performance to help achieve our sustainability goals.

Board Oversight of Risk Management

The Board is responsible for overseeing the risk management process which includes overseeing our process for identifying, assessing and mitigating significant financial, operational, legal, strategic, cybersecurity and information security, and other risks that may affect the Company. Risk oversight plays a role in major Board decisions and the evaluation of key risks is a core part of the decision-making process—from guidance on strategy to review of major capital expenditures.

Cyber and Information Security

Data and digital systems are important parts of our business—from vessel routing software to logistics brokerage systems. 澳博体育app下载’s information security, internal audit and risk management teams help to identify and assess cyber and information security threats and vulnerabilities, and establish the appropriate business systems, preventive controls and risk mitigation strategies.
